The department concentrates primarily on the topics of modelling, planning and control of industrial production systems. Because of an ever increasing approach to the distribution of production, which is taking place on an international level, the creation, planning and control of logistics in production cooperations and virtual enterprises take a central position. This is an integral part of the planning and control of production systems.
