The research project developed a self-adaptive, ergonomically optimized assembly system that promotes employee health and satisfaction. A sensor system consisting of wearables and cameras recorded relevant movement and posture data during assembly, which was then analyzed anonymously. Mathematical optimizations were used to automatically and dynamically adjust working heights and material arrangements to individual needs, gripping patterns, and working methods.
