To support public participation in route planning, an outdoor AR system was developed in the RailAR project. This includes an outdoor display that projects 3D planning statuses directly into the landscape using an AR device. For the implementation, automatically generated 3D data from the route planning software Korfin© were integrated via a 3D engine and adapted to the respective display purpose. Regarding the auralization, a visual representation was researched and integrated into the visualization.
