KoMAR Development of an AR-based multi-user system for the potential assessment of collaborative assembly scenarios As part of the KoMAR project, an innovative, flexible Augmented Reality (AR) multi-user application was developed, integrating digital models with real-world objects. This application allows multiple users to interact simultaneously within an AR 3D scenario, with the possibility of enriching 3D objects with relevant data. For the first use case, BIBA implemented a potential assessment of collaborative robots in industrial assembly. The use of AR enables the early involvement of planning and assembly personnel in the real context without the need for physical system adjustments. The developed algorithm calculates the robot trajectories while considering defined no-go zones created by objects in the environment, as well as safety areas for humans. Additionally, the potential for automation and ergonomic relief in the process is evaluated. Contact persons: L.
